Ganard : - A ganard is a best of burden widely used on the world of Thagam. The beast is a bipedal creature, with no arms or upper appendages. It's large muscular chicken shaped legs are capable of propelling it at great speeds and allow it to pull large weights. Covered with smooth skin it comes in many different colours seemingly at random. A vegetarian by nature it requires surprisingly little food for it's size.

Galactic Directions : - The Galactic Directions are what is used to determine orientation and navigation within the Imperium. These are split into four directions which correspond roughly with the points of a compass when looking at an Imperial Map.
Coreward : The direction towards the galactic core.
Rimward : The direction towards the rim of the galaxy.
Trailing : Direction against galactic spin.
Spinward : In the direction of galactic spin.

Galanglic : - The official language of the Imperium. A mixture of Anglic and Bilani.

Greycycle : - Apparently the name of a month by the calendar of whoever lays claim to the Heuen system. Discovered in a damaged computer log in a monastery on the planet.

GSbAG (Geschichtkries Sternschiffbau AG) : - Founded, according to company propaganda, in -2438 from a consortium of old Terran manufacturing firms. In actual fact, there is no concrete evidence of the corporation's existance prior to a contract with the Sylean Federation Navy in -334. Unlike other manufacturers, GSbAG (populary known as Gas-bag) has restricted itself almost exclusively to the manufacture of starships since its earliest known existance.
GSbAG is one of two firms charged with the manufacture of the personal vessels of the Imperial family and is a major contractor for the Imperial military. Their products command extremely high prices, but it is generally conceded that the quality makes them well worth it.
